Biography of Major General N. A. Kolosov (1909-1993) is closely connected with the armed forces of our country. In the 1930s, he stood at the origins of the formation of the tank forces of the Red Army, and with the outbreak of World War II at the highest level, he resolved the issues of their reform and combat training in connection with new tasks. As part of the army, he participated in the battles for the liberation of Poland and East Prussia. After the war, N. A. Kolosov worked politically in the Soviet army, and later became the first director of the Borodino Battle panorama museum.
