The book outlines the theoretical foundations of external ballistics of missiles and artillery shells. The basic information on forces and moments acting in flight on a missile and a shell is given, a methodology for compiling equations of movement of missiles and shells is given, integration of these equations by analytical and numerical methods using electronic computers of solid machines is considered. Methods for studying trajectories are proposed and concepts are given about optimal solutions to external ballistics problems. The effect of various disturbing factors on flight stability, dispersion of trajectories and firing errors is evaluated. The basics of correction theory are presented and methods for compiling correction formulas for external ballistics and calculating ballistic derivatives are presented. Concepts are given about experimental methods of external ballistics.
