The book of the famous Czech scientist Lubor Niederle, published by a new edition in Prague in 1953, is a condensed summary of the multi-volume Czech edition of Slavic Antiquities made by the author. Therefore, the editors found it possible to name this book "Slavic Antiquities," and not "Guide to Slavic Antiquities," as it is called in the Czech original.
