The book outlines the theoretical foundations of the pump workflow. The issues of wear of parts are considered, an overview of materials with increased wear-resistant qualities is given in relation to the conditions of their operation in pumps and an analysis of structures most adapted to the conditions of hydroabrasive wear. Peculiarities of seals operation are considered and recommendations for increasing their service life are given. The procedure for determination of axial forces including leaks is given.
