Based on the study of Khorezm legends, the book shows the emergence and development of the cult of Muslim saints, the reasons, origins, and the main stages of its evolution. The role and place of the cult of saints in the spiritual and social life of the peoples of Central Asia in the pre-revolutionary period are critically considered.
