The collective monograph is the first generalizing scientific study on the history of Crimea from its initial settlement by humans to its return to Russia in March 2014. Based on the achievements of domestic and foreign historiography, written (published and archival), archaeological and other sources, the authors comprehensively consider the past of the Crimean peninsula in the broad context of the historical development of Eastern Europe and Russia.
