"The Legend of Babylon" is a book not only about the more than two thousand-year history of Babylon and the Mesopotamian civilization that gave rise to it, but mainly about the reflection of this story in biblical texts and cultural images inherent in both the past and the present. The author's goal is reflection, not discovery, process, not result, historical and cultural journey, and not arrival at a given point. Moreover, the history of Babylon is by no means over, but continues before our eyes.
