The textbook analyzes the state and prospects of technical support for food production. Particular attention is paid to the problems facing specialists in improving the efficiency of machine food technologies. Modern forms of organization of technological complexes are given, as well as the basic requirements for processes and equipment of food production. Machine-hardware schemes of lines for processing agricultural raw materials of plant and animal origin into food products are justified. The scientific foundations of the processes implemented and engineering calculations of the most important characteristics of machines and devices are presented. Described is equipment for conducting mechanical, heat-mass-exchange and biotechnological processes, as well as for dosing and packaging food products. Methods of equipment maintenance and repair organization are considered; priority scientific problems and engineering tasks of food production development.
