The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the circumstances of the origin of colonial ideas in English socio-political thought, to trace the evolution of the views of the British, to identify the features of early colonial programs, their differences from continental models; finally, to understand the specifics of the organization and functioning of the first campaigns for colonization.
