According to Ismailov, the book, written on the basis of a criminal case, archival materials and events in which he was a participant, reflects the position taken by the leaders of the USSR and Armenian nationalists: "Armenians can never accuse Azerbaijanis of impartially conducting this criminal case, since the investigation of this criminal case was conducted by Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian investigators, it was proved that an Armenian by nationality Eduard Grigoryan was in charge of the Sumgait events."
