Mid-twenty-first century. The world does not stand still, technological progress rushes forward with huge steps. More and more energy is required and people are developing, and then creating more powerful sources for it. And it doesn't matter what underlies the process: water or air, splitting atoms, or thermonuclear fusion; disasters always happen, and in some cases their consequences are dire. There were people who still remembered that first most terrible and dangerous man-made catastrophe of the late twentieth century - the destruction of the reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Alas, at that time they were still children and could not imagine the full horror of what happened. Perhaps their relatives participated in the elimination of that disaster or investigated the incident, but if this was so, then they have long died. The result of that disaster: the formation of an isolated zone with a total area of ​ ​ about two thousand eight hundred square kilometers, within which it is forbidden to live.
