Basic technical data of modern tooth-working machines are given, basic information about the tool used by the tooth-cutter is given, as well as recommendations on tooth-working modes, methods of gear wheel control are considered. The second edition (1st - in 1981) was supplemented with data on machine accuracy standards, gear wheel control in accordance with the new GOSTs.
