The commented volumes of S. M. Solovyov's History of Russia cover the period of the history of the Russian Empire from the second half of 1740 to 1748. And in these volumes, as before, the author paid the main attention to covering Russia's foreign policy. It should be noted that in the twenty-first and twenty-second volumes of the "History of Russia" S. M. Soloviev only briefly touches on some aspects of the internal policy of the state, focusing mainly on describing the palace intrigues and foreign policy of the government.
