The Dictionary is an attempt to explain numismatic terms in an accessible form to the reader, most of which relate to the names of coins, or monetary units, their history and distribution. Along with this, some financial and political economic terms are explained. their understanding is essential for the study of numismatics in general and orientation in economic processes occurring at different periods of history. The appendix to the dictionary contains a number of illustrations of samples of coins from different countries, which, at least to an insignificant extent, will acquaint readers with the type of coins.
