This study covers the last 20 years of the reign of the Lithuanian-Russian Grand Duke Vytautas, from 1410 to 1430. The main phenomena of this period: the struggle against the Prussian-Livonian Order, interrupted by the Torun Peace of 1411 and completed, at the time of the reign of Vytautas, by the world near Lake Melno, in 1422; confirmation of the connection of Lithuania with Poland at the Gorodel Congress of 1413 and Vitovt's stubborn desire to break this connection, a desire that in the last years of his reign led to the harassment of the royal crown. The spread of the influence of Vytautas partly by marriage unions, partly by the struggle against Moscow, Tver, Ryazan, Pskov, Novgorod and the Tatars.
