Methods and techniques of petrophysical studies, density, elastic, magnetic, electrical and other properties of chemical elements, minerals, rocks, oil and gas reservoirs, metal ores, coals are considered. The relationships of physical properties of rocks with their composition and formation conditions are analyzed, the possibility of using petrophysical characteristics in the study of regional tectonics, geological mapping, prospecting and exploration of minerals is shown.
