The book includes interviews and memoirs dedicated to the fate of the "Great Old Men" of the past century. Among the heroes of the book are extraordinary personalities who, with their deeds and fate, fit into the history of the twentieth century: Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Mikhail Gorbachev, Shimon Peres and Ilya Glazunov, Arseny Tarkovsky and Kurt Vonnegut, Alexander Yesenin-Volpin and Prince Taranovsky, personal photographer L. Brezhnev Vladimir Muss aelian and nephew of Nicholas II Tikhon Kulikovsky-Romanov. The author met with the heroes of the book for several decades. He interviewed many for the press, was friends with someone. The book logically continues the previous volume "My Great Old Women," dedicated to prominent women of the twentieth century.
