The collection includes the works of Russian schoolchildren - laureates of the All-Russian historical competition "Man in History. Russia - the twentieth century" 2011-2013. The works tell about dispossession and the Great Terror, the fate of the intelligentsia in the 1920-1930s, the Great Patriotic War, the blockade and evacuation, the daily life of Soviet people in the 1950-1980s, the Caribbean crisis, the Chernobyl accident, the collapse of the USSR and perestroika.
