The book is dedicated to the persecution of Olga Berggolts in 1937 - her expulsion from the Union of Soviet Writers of the USSR and candidates for membership in the CPSU (b). For the first time, minutes of meetings of the party committee and the general party meeting of the Electrosila plant, where Berggolts was registered with the party, are published. This is one of the episodes of the "big pogrom" of 1937 of the Leningrad writers' organization, organized under the leadership of party bodies with the active and direct participation of the writers themselves, who identified the "enemies of the people" and their accomplices, who wrote denunciations to each other in the party and NKVD bodies.
