Methods of rationing of materials consumption and preparation of economical cutting plans during technological preparation of production using computers are given. Cutting of linear materials along the length of both sheet and roll materials into rectangular blanks in conditions of single and serial production is considered. The results of the theoretical study of typical cutting problems are presented.
