The proposed manual deals with the translation of country-oriented German phraseological units and the importance of language studies for translation practice. About 500 phraseological units (arranged in alphabetical order) are analyzed in terms of their regional significance and their semantics, as well as translation into Russian. Examples of the use of phraseologisms are given. The manual is intended for translators and specialists in the field of translation theory.
