The book of selected works of the famous historian, ethnographer, folklorist and writer N. I. Kostomarov (1817-1885) includes original studies of the historical past of Little Russia, vivid historical portraits of its prominent figures, as well as the "Autobiography" of the scientist, containing peculiar sketches of the scientific and literary life of his time.
