Modern information is provided on the chemical composition of ocean waters, forms of content of individual components in the solution, their origin, interaction and characteristic features of the regime, a description of the hydrochemistry of the inner and marginal seas of the USSR is given. The problems of anthropogenic impacts on the hydrochemical regime of sea waters, pollution control, desalination of sea waters, etc. are considered.
