The textbook describes the various linguistic levels of modern Japanese and highlights the problematic points of linguistic research in the field of Japanese studies. The sections of the textbook are devoted to describing the language levels (phonetic, lexical, grammatical) of the modern Japanese language. The features of the Japanese writing system, phraseology, derivatology and stylistics of the Japanese language are also considered. The first volume of the textbook is devoted to phonetics, graphics, spelling, lexicology and phraseology of the modern Japanese language, as well as problems of Japanese word formation and general grammar issues. The second volume of the textbook covers the main issues of morphology and syntax of the modern Japanese language, as well as some problems of Japanese stylistics.
