In our century, the age of the national revival of the Jewish people in their ancient homeland, the portable fatherland, having completed the two-thousand-year circle of wanderings, returned to the land on which it was born and with which it is inextricably linked. On this earth, the ancient language of the Book of Books, which was in a foreign land the language of sacred history and prayers, again became the living language of everyday communication and creative culture; on this earth, the wall that separated the ancient history of the people from reality in a foreign land ceased to exist and the biblical narrative became a tangible reality materialized in life itself.
