"Pedigree of Turkmen," completed in 1071 x. (= 1660 - 1661 AD), was written, according to Abu l-Ghazi, "at the request of Turkmen mullahs, sheikhs and beks," who believed that the Oguz-name people were full of "mistakes and do not converge with each other." It was necessary to give an official edition of the legend about the origin of the Turkmen, their development and placement. Each tribe knew, and in some cases retains to this day, its pedigrees, but there was no consolidated pedigree of various Turkmen tribes. "Native Turkmen" is not only an important historical source, but also a significant literary monument, which masterfully sets out many folk traditions, legends, folk etymologies ethnonyms, proverbs and sayings.
