The purpose of this course is to clarify the following problems: - how and why the idea of ​ ​ mass extermination of Jews arose and how it was formalized in the form of the political line of the Nazi leadership; - how mass destruction was carried out in practice; - why responsibility for the execution of this action was assigned to the SS; - what role was played by the operation of mass destruction of Jewry in the general policy of the Nazi regime during the Second World War, as well as a study of the main historiographic problems associated with the topic affected.
