The book is based on lectures that the author gave to senior students at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Physics of the Moscow State Aviation Institute. The focus is on a consistent and mathematically rigorous description of the foundations of quantum mechanics, using functional analysis and operator algebras. At the same time, the reader only needs to have knowledge in the volume of ordinary courses in mathematical analysis and linear algebra - all the necessary mathematical information that goes beyond these courses is given in the book.
