The fundamental encyclopedia includes almost all issues related to one of the most popular sports - volleyball. This reference edition is the fourth in the history of our volleyball. The encyclopedia "Volleyball" offered to the reader is devoted primarily to domestic sports, its history and achievements. At the same time, the book is built according to the classical canons of the encyclopedic genre. It includes information about the history of the flying ball in the world, about international and continental associations. The most detailed information is about the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, the USSR Volleyball Federation, the International Federation and the European Confederation. Of the more than two hundred national member federations of the FIVB, the encyclopedia provides, first of all, information about associations located in the Old World, as well as sports-leading unions in Asia, America and Africa. A significant place in the book is occupied by the results of international tournaments held under the auspices of the IOC, FIVB, continental and regional federations and various sports associations.
