This book is one of the few attempts in domestic and foreign Orientalism to comprehend as a whole such a multifaceted phenomenon of Muslim culture as Islamic mysticism. In connection with the huge distribution area and the variety of forms of existence of Islamic mysticism, the author chose a peculiar approach in reviewing this phenomenon.
