The book publishes the works of a well-known Hungarian scientist, Professor Dula Svak, which are devoted, on the one hand, to Russian historiography of the reign of Ivan IV and Peter I, on the other, to the problems of the formation of "Russian feudalism" and understanding of its features. In the materials presented to the reader, a thousand-year history of a huge empire unfolds indirectly, as it was seen and portrayed by Russian historians of two centuries.
