Wolfgang Kraus (b. 1924) - founder and (more than three decades) president of the Austrian Society of Literature (Vienna), a well-known journalist-culturologist, author of numerous and popular books on the most important issues of world and European culture, sociology and politics ("Fifth Estate," 1966; "The Quiet Revolutionaries," 1970; "Culture and Power," 1975 and many others.). His books "Nihilism and Ideals" and "In Search of Paradise" (M. "Rainbow" 1994) were translated into Russian.
