The manuscript outlines the theory of electromagnetic shielding in a wide frequency range from zero to the microwave range. A unified method and engineering formulas for calculating screens for both electric and magnetic fields in various modes of using screens (statics, electrodynamics, wave mode) are given. The features of shielding of coaxial and symmetrical cable circuits are considered, taking into account protection against mutual and external interference.
