The purpose of this study is to identify the specifics and peculiarities of methodological and research approaches to determining the causes, historical significance and assessment of the Kronstadt events of 1921 in domestic and foreign historiography for the period from the 1920s. to the present, based on a comprehensive study and comparative analysis of historiographic and historical sources.
