A.E. Georgian - Russian literary historian, 1858-1930, literary critic, ethnographer and teacher. From 1905 to 1922 - Chairman of the Society of Lovers of Russian Literature. Until 1922 he taught at I Moscow University, at the University of Shanyavsky, at the Higher Women's Courses and other educational institutions. Recently, he was in charge of the Tolstoy office of the Lenin Library. In this book, he reveals the general characteristic and significance of Turgenev's work.
