In the fall of 1787, Mozart, accompanied by his wife, went to Prague to personally take part in the production of Don Juan. On the third day of the journey, the fourteenth of September, at about eleven in the morning, the couple in good spirits, being from Vienna only thirty hours away, drove in a northwestern direction, passing Mannhardsberg and the German Taya at Schrems, where they soon had to cross the wonderful mountain range of Moravia.
