The Soviet-Finnish war to this day remains one of the little-researched pages of Russian history. The materials included in this collection give an idea of ​ ​ the course and features of hostilities in the Pitkäranta region, the mournful result of which is many fraternal, often nameless graves. For more than 30 years, these memories have been collected from various sources. For the purpose of clarification, there were meetings with many participants in the "winter" war, including almost all the authors of this book.
