Attempts to explain the origin and development of celestial bodies and their systems have been made since ancient times, but the sky continues to hide many secrets. At first, the explanations were in creation myths. Then philosophers got down to business. The development of sky science went in parallel with the development of society. One theoretical concept replaced another, and yet none could be considered true.
