The Aerocobra fighter was the most massive foreign-made aircraft in service with the Soviet Air Force. From December 1941 to February 1945, 4,953 Aerocobra were sent to the USSR under Lend-Lease, which is 51.6% of all built vehicles of this type, or 35% of all American aircraft delivered during the war. In Soviet aviation, "Aerocobry" received mainly guards aviation regiments.
