The main part of the work is devoted to the description of the morphology and ecology of more than 50 species of fish. It also includes brief information about water bodies, the history of ichthyological and fisheries research, definitive tables of families, genera and species, an outline of ways to form ichthyofauna of water bodies in Belarus.
