The word daimon confuses many scholars and translators of Greek texts. The main purpose of this book is to explore the concept of the daimon as it is used in the theory and practice of Hellenistic astrology. Hellenistic astrology was not immune to multiple daimonic concepts, not only Greek, but also Babylonian, Egyptian, and other cultures, as well as religious and magical practices. It can be assumed that as a practice, astrology could be mainly related to describing or predicting the actions of evil daimons. This is partly true, but good daimons were equally important, as well as the idea of ​ ​ a personal daimon was noticeable in the horoscope, and even, for some, in the sphere of the special arrangement of celestial bodies and corresponding points in the horoscope. All this contributes to a greater expansion of the ways of understanding fate and the inclusion in cultural practices of the Greco-Roman era and late antiquity.
