The sleepy calm of a small city is violated by a series of terrible murders: someone attacks young men and brutally deals with them. At first glance, the victims are not related in any way. Everyone is lost in conjecture: ritual murder? Wild antics of some madman? Investigator Alexander Napoleonov gropes for one or the other thread, but they all end. A childhood friend, the charming Miroslava Volgin, the owner of a private detective agency, comes to his aid. Together, they go on the trail of the criminal and, having already discovered him, hardly believe that this man is a monstrous killer, followed by a long bloody trail.
