The main provisions of hydraulics are given in brief form. Brief information is given on the arrangement of volumetric hydraulic machines and hydraulic equipment used in hydraulic drives, and on the working processes of volumetric hydraulic drives of road construction equipment. Basic information on gas laws and their application in calculations of working processes of pneumatic drives of main types is presented. Designs of volumetric pneumatic machines are described.
