The monograph systematizes the chemical foundations of the processes of oxidative processing of methane into chemical intermediates and oxygenates. Along with the traditional ways of synthesizing chemical products through the synthesis gas production stage, new promising areas are considered, such as the oxidative condensation of methane into ethane and ethylene and its direct oxidation into alcohols and other oxygenates.
