Pu Songling (1640-1715) - Chinese short story writer, author of the collection "Tales of the Strange from the Liao Cabinet" (various translations of the name are possible). Popular in old Qing China, Pu Songling's short stories became the subject of attention for foreign translators quite early, despite their complex language, replete with literary and historical reminiscences.
