Germany, 1945. The soldiers who liberated the Gross-Rosen concentration camp inform the captives that the war is over, but eighteen-year-old Zofya Lederman does not believe it. Her life is completely ruined: three years ago, she and her younger brother, Abek, were the only members of their family sent away from the gas chambers. All the others - her parents, grandmother and aunt - were led to certain death. Now Zofya wants to find her brother and try to start a new life. But is it that simple for someone who has experienced so much loss?
