The names of 64,000 citizens of the USSR - military personnel and civilians who died and buried in Austria during the Second World War. The idea of ​ ​ creating this work belongs to the Austrian researcher Peter Sixl. The clarification of the lists of dead Soviet soldiers, prisoners of war, prisoners of concentration camps and forced laborers hijacked to forced labor from the occupied territories lasted more than 15 years with the assistance of Russian and Austrian archives and in close cooperation with the Austrian Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for the Study of the Consequences of the War, as well as with the organization "Black Cross," which cares for military graves in Austria.
