"Old Ladoga" is one of the first generalizing monographs on the history and culture of Ladoga. Archaeologist, military historian, organizer of the Artillery Museum currently operating in St. Petersburg Nikolai Efimovich Brandenburg (1839-1903) made a special contribution to the development of Ladoga archeology in the 19th century. The book contains 90 drawings, plans, diagrams, drawings, photographs of the XIX century. Map of the immediate vicinity of Staraya Ladoga, map of the Southern Ladoga and a schematic map of the land ownership of the immediate vicinity of Staraya Ladoga according to the general land surveying plans of 1778-1779.
