The work offered to the attention of readers is devoted to the historical and ethnographic study of the life and culture of the Balkan Turkmens at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. It was written on the basis of previously unused data of a large amount of field ethnographic material, archival documents and written sources, as well as literature.
