The book presents many examples of English humor translated by S.M. Rabinovich - relating to different periods of English history and to different literary genres, from comic epitaph and limerick to poem, from completely different tonality - from good "children's" humor to Swift's hopeless sarcasm and very characteristic of the British macabre "black humor."
